Founded in 2013, by award-winning activist, journalist, organizer and author of 9 books, Love TaShia Asanti, I-Teach Love Institute (Institute for Transformative Education & Collective Healing through Love) is a platform and channel to brainstorm solutions to racial disparities and other forms of social injustice. I-Teach Love Institute also collaborates with other organizations who are committed to fostering community wellness and promoting understanding across race, cultural and gender expressions. WHY WE NEED A HEALING RACISM ACADEMY?
There are times in life when you MUST DO SOMETHING and this:
--The brutal killing of Black and brown children, men and women through the misuse of police power.
--Racism in the Supreme Court.
--The banning of Black books.
--The quest to make invisible the history of Black and other indigenous people whose free labor built this country.
--The heartless murder of SGLBT people whose only crime is loving how they love.
The ways we've been fighting racism are not working.
Thus, the Healing Racism Academy is proud to offer programs that teach life-saving tools to the millions affected by racism and other forms of discrimination.
